Traditional merchant processing is reactive. You apply, you get approved, you receive a terminal, you process — and when something goes wrong, you call somebody and wait. We call the alternative agentic payments. Not AI for the sake of AI: you tell us what you need, and something actually happens.
That is the whole distinction, and it is the reason the word is on this page. Asking a chatbot what documents underwriting needs produces a list. Asking an agent produces the list, a check of what we already hold, a secure request for the rest, and a note on your file when it arrives.
Most of this industry is excellent until the account boards and thin afterwards. The service below is the part a merchant can check against their last three years with somebody else.
Where is my deposit. Did yesterday's batch settle. Why is this one different. Why is funding delayed. You should not have to know the department's name before you can ask.
A terminal that will not connect, a PIN pad that drops, a printer that stops, a gateway login that fails, a batch that will not close. Sam works out whether it is the device, the connection, the software, the gateway, the configuration or the processor — and moves it to a technician when it needs one.
Disputes are time-sensitive and confusing. What the dispute is, what evidence exists, which deadline matters, which transaction, what the next step is — organised rather than left with you.
What am I paying now. Did my costs change. What is this fee. Review my latest statement. A processing environment should not go invisible after installation.
New location, new bank, new owner, new website, new product, more volume, different equipment. Some of it needs verification or your authorisation — Sam gets you to the right step rather than the right phone number.
Card present and not present, virtual terminals, payment links, online checkout, invoicing, ACH, recurring, mobile, large-ticket and multi-location. The goal is not to sell every merchant every product. It is to work out which ones the business actually needs.
Your application, business type, payment profile, processing history, equipment, support history, prior questions, documents and account changes are context the system already holds.
So a conversation does not have to start at “what is your merchant number, what processor are you with, can you explain the whole thing again”. It can start from what is known and move toward the answer — subject to authentication, permissions and access controls, which is where an agent differs from a chatbot in the way that matters.
Agentic does not mean people disappear. Some things should be automated, some need a merchant's approval, some need underwriting judgement, some need a technician, and some are simply easier face-to-face — which is what See You — See Me is for. Sam's job includes knowing which is which.
Meet with a representativeNot another rate quote, another terminal, another disconnected dashboard, or old payment software with a chatbot bolted to the side. Before you process, we help build the way you get paid. After you start, we help run it with you.
